Here is a summary of what's new in the recent release of Lightning beta:
We've added a new feature to Lightning in the latest release that allows you to send a note to your WordPress.com blog.
You can now add TXT and graphics files to your notebook. Drag a file from Windows Explorer or your desktop and drop it into your notebook. A note is created with the text/graphic contained within.
The Snapshot tool has been enhanced. You can now cancel a snapshot, pause it and use the keyboard to precisely manipulate each of the corners of your snapshot. I'll provide the details in the Tips and Tricks forum soon.
"Keep on Top" has been added to the notes window menu. When you choose this your note will stay to the top so it is always visible and just a click away. Choose the menu item again to turn it off.
You can now start a new note directly from IE and Firefox. Select some content in the browser window, right click and choose "Copy to Lightning Note" from the menu.
We've addressed some bugs with respect to the note window having focus when it should - for example when you start a new note you can start typing in it right away, you used to have to click in the note first. A few other issues of that sort have been taken care of.
Sometimes the Lightning Navigator would go off-screen - you could see it in your task bar but not see it in your screen. Solutions for getting it back were posted in the forums. With this release you should no longer see this problem.
We also fixed one issue that could cause note content to disappear.
Enjoy,
Tom
